The 28th Annual Goya Awards were held in Madrid, this past February 9th. They are Spain’s most prestigious film awards, considered to be the equivalent of the Academy Awards and have absolutely nothing to do with Goya food products (you know you were thinking it). Below is the winner for Best Animated Short Film titled Cuerdas (Strings). Cuerdas is the story of a young girl named Maria who makes a new special friend and soon the odd pair become inseparable. It is absolutely endearing and downright adorable. Warning: It’s in Spanish and you may shed a tear.
